Working principle
With the handle aligned to the pipeline, the ball's bore lines up with the flow path and media passes with minimal resistance. Rotating 90° turns the solid face of the ball into the flow path, positively isolating upstream from downstream.
Precision seats maintain continuous contact with the polished ball surface in both positions, keeping torque smooth and sealing dependable through repeated operation; the stem sealing arrangement preserves external leak-tightness.

Ball valves are one of the few Parflow lines with a stated temperature range rather than a material-dependent one. It is a wide envelope for a soft-seated valve, and the seat is what sets both ends of it.
The body is SS316, SS316L, carbon steel or brass and the ball is hardened SS316, none of those are what caps the valve at 232°C. The seat is, and it is a specification choice: PTFE, reinforced PTFE, or PEEK. The -54°C to 232°C span is the envelope across all three options, not a figure any single seat holds. Quote the intended service temperature when you order and the seat gets selected against it. Pressure works the same way, the 6,000 psi ceiling is qualified "depending on valve size and seat material".
